Judicial Review

Judicial review is a process for courts in Canada to ensure that the decisions of administrative bodies are fair, reasonable, and lawful.

Refugee Appeal

The Refugee Appeal Division gives most claimants a chance to prove that the Refugee Protection Division decision was wrong in fact or law or both. It also permits claimants to introduce new evidence that was not reasonably available at the time of the Refugee Protection Division process.

Temporary Residence

Work permits, study permits, visitor visas, super visas and, (for visitor visa-exempt passport holders), Electronic Travel Authorizations (ETA’s) are examples of various programs that provide successful applicants with the opportunity to reside in Canada on a temporary basis.

Mandamus

A writ of mandamus or simply mandamus, which means “we command” in Latin, is the name of one of the prerogative writs in the common law and is issued by a superior court to compel a lower court or a government officer to perform mandatory or purely ministerial duties correctly.

Inadmissibility

A foreign national or permanent resident is deemed criminally inadmissible after being convicted under any Act of Parliament, with the most prevalent being the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC) and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Fighting Removals

We have represented families, children, individuals with serious health conditions, elderly clients, and other vulnerable individuals who have received a removal order from the Canada Border Services Agency.
